The Montgomery County Historical Society presented a check for $11,560.00 to the City of Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department for replacement of the roof at Sevier Station, located on Walker Street, New Providence.

Sevier Stataion is the site of Velentine Sevier Memorial recognizing Colonel Valentine Sevier, who was an early defender of settlers in this area.

The Historical Society had been advised that the roof was collapsing and the Historical Society assisted in the preservation of the roof.  The experts hired to replace the roof used the same materials and process that would have been used during original building construction.
